What is an Uninsured Motor Vehicle

The Uninsured Motorist Act defines an uninsured motor vehicle as:

a motor vehicle for which there is no bodily injury liability insurance at the time of the accident; or,
a motor vehicle for which its insurance denies coverage at the time of the accident or refuses to admit coverage except conditionally or with reservation; or,
a motor vehicle used without the permission of the owner at the time of the accident; or,
a motor vehicle for which the owner or operator at the time of the accident is unknown.
